For a year my husband and I planned this wonderful Halloween party for our friends. We hired the services of company called Let's dance productions to provide us with a DJ for our party.

In the beginning of September (the 12th to be exact) we sent a security deposit of $250 as requested. After a few weeks we started e-mailing to them with the lists of songs and artists we wanted to hear on that night, also e-mailed inquiring about a videotape of our event. With each e-mail we requested response and feedback.

After about 5 e-mails without response and the date of our party getting closer, naturally, we started getting nervous. We sent yet another e-mail telling them that with their lack of response, we were about to think they pocketed the security deposit and planned not to show up.

Well, big mistake!! That night we got a response all right!! A woman from the company (Diana, who I spoke on the phone originally) called our home at 11:30 PM, screaming that we couldn't offend them and to read the contract. Proceeding to hang up on me without letting me talk. This happened the same week of the party (scheduled for the 25th of October) To make the story short, they called within a few hours of the party and said they were not coming and would not give us our security deposit either, saying that they had right not to perform if they felt threaten( ???). I had no idea that expressing our fear would be translated into a threat. There are more details to this story that would make your blood boil. Please contact us.
