AT&T - telemarketing harrassment by Convergys call centers selling AT&T services - can't get off calling list

RE: AT&T - telemarketing harrassment by Convergys call centers selling AT&T services - can't get off calling list For the last two weeks we have been harassed by Convergys call centers who are under contract with AT&T trying to get us to buy long distance service. In the recent seven-day period we received 4 phone solicitation calls during our dinner hour.

I explained each time that we are not interested and we want OFF the call list. Now I’m really angry. Call center employees seem unconcerned.

No one is willing to get into the computer and delete our phone number. They explained to me that it takes just 3 to 5 days for a customer to get signed up for one of the AT&T products they represent yet it takes 30 to 60 days for a customer who does NOT want the products and who requests to be taken off their call list.

They couldn’t explain to me why this is true. In the mean time we still get intrusive, interrupting and UNWANTED phone calls. Michael Cafferky
