RE: Target Visa Card - missed payment - called at work several times to make $ 17 payment
My father-in-law died October 9th. As a result I forgot to make my $17.00 payment on my Target Visa. I received my November billing Nov. 8th showing a late fee, noting that I had missed my October payment and indicating the November payment of $36.00 was due by November 21st.
My pay days are the 16th and the 1st of each month. Since Nov. 8th I have received 2 phone calls at my place of employment (Monday 11/10 and Tuesday 11/11). On Tuesday, I asked the 2nd caller why I was being called at work.
Her explanation was that my home phone and office phone were reversed. I agreed to make a payment on Tuesday, Nov.18th at the local Target store. I have just received a 3rd call today, Friday, Nov. 14th. The call was to my home phone (thank God) but I had to make arrangements to pay the bill by Nov. 18th at the local Target store AGAIN. Exactly how many calls can I expect for this $17 oversight? Does calling at my place of employment constitute harassment? Needless to say, my Target card is going back in pieces along with my payment on Tuesday.
