On July 13th 2002 my husband and I bought a 2002 Suzuki GSXR1000 motorcycle from Britt Wilson Motorsports in North Myrtle Beach, SC. A one year warranty came with the bike, we opted not to get the extended warranty.

A couple of months later, we started experiencing problems with the break system. We took the bike in for service. They thought they fixed the problem, we soon found out that they did not. A month later we took the bike back to the service problem. Since we first purchased the bike it has been in and out of the shop an unacceptable number of times.

In June of 2003 the business was sold and is now called Atlantic Motorsports. They have given us nothing but problems. They keep putting the blame on Suzuki, saying that they have to wait on their approval before fixing this problem. Atlantic Motorsports is saying that this problem is not the same problem that was first brought in last year and that it is technically not under warranty anymore.

They are making it sound like they are doing us a favor because the service department manager said that he has pushed to get Suzuki to cover this under warranty. Our problem with this is that if they had fixed the problem right the first time instead of trying to get out the easiest and cheapest way, we wouldn't still be going through this right now; and it technically would be under warranty.

We have been told that the part we need for the bike is on backorder and they don't know when it will become available. I spoke with Suzuki and they said they were unable to do anything as far as compensating us at this time until they knew the duration of repair time. Britt Wilson Motorsports/Atlantic Motorsports has had our bike off and on for about 7 months.
