First of all, allow me to apologize for the delay in responding to your complaint. We were not previously aware of this website.
When a customer applies for credit a number of considerations are weighed, and if credit is granted, it is granted on the basis of the information provided at the time of application. If any of these factors changes, then the credit provided to the customer may change as well. Provisions for this sort of reassessment are provided for in the cardholder agreement.
We do appreciate it when a customer makes their minimum payment on time every month. However, we also don't think it is in either party's benefit to have a customer with no income saddled with debt. In a case where a customer's spouse is responsible for making payments, the spouse is certainly welcome to apply for credit under their own name. And if the customer's situation changes again in the future, we would be more than happy to reassess their application at that time.
