A couple of weeks back, our 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer was experiencing a problem with it's onboard electrical system. However, at the time, we were not certain of the exact problem. The symptoms included absolutely no audio from the radio, no "open door" or "lights on" reminder chimes and no audio from the OnStar system. I pressed my OnStar button in hopes that some remote diagnostics or other assistance could be offered.

However, because of the electrical problem, I was unable to hear the OnStar representatives. I telephoned OnStar via a land-line to determine if they could hear me. The representative that I spoke to informed me that the volume was turned down on my radio. I informed the representative that the volume on my radio was turned up all the way and explained the other symptoms. The representative again, now argumentatively, informed me that the volume was turned down on my radio. I hung up. The next day my dealership diagnosed and repaired a problem with the vehicle's electrical system. As explained by the service technician, the problem prevented any and all audio from all the onboard systems from reaching the vehicle's speakers. This explains why I could not hear the radio or OnStar. I am very disappointed in the responses received from OnStar during this incident. It was very arrogent of the OnStar representative to assume that I did not know how to operate my OnStar system. Even after explaining the other symptoms, it became disrespectful to wrongfully assume driver error. I only hope that in the future I receive better customer service from more respectful and polite customer service representatives. Rob
