Martha Stewart patio table, chairs, seat pads and umbrella - from K-Mart - outside on deck for 3 months and have rusted

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on November 6, 2002:

From: RE: Martha Stewart patio table, chairs, seat pads and umbrella - from K-Mart - outside on deck for 3 months and have rusted The middle of August my husband and I purchased a Martha Stewart patio table, chairs, seat pads and umbrella.

We have had it outside on our deck since purchasing the items from K-Mart. We like the furniture, however, it has started to rust. It cannot be returned since they no longer have summer furniture in stock. It is a shame to pay $200+ dollars for something and less than three months later it is rusted.

How long it will last now - who knows. We have another set of patio furniture that we have by our pool that was manufactured by a different company and has been outside for over five years.

To this it has not rusted. We would just like for others to be aware of the fact that Martha Stewart products could possibly rust, and it might be to your advantage to pay a little more and buy another brand. Thank you.
