From: RE: Simmons Grand Sensation Pillowtop Mattress - mattress started to sag a short time after purchase - mattress really sagging now - replacement refused by Simmons, despite "10 year warranty"
Approximately three years ago, we purchased a Simmons Grand Sensation Pillowtop Mattress for almost $1500. After a very short period of time, the mattress started to sag and became very uncomfortable to sleep on.
We contacted the store where we bought the mattress and was told that since it had been more than a year, we would have to deal directly with the company.
We contacted Simmons and they sent an inspector to look at our mattress. The inspector's report indicated that our problem was the result of normal wear and tear and that they would not be able to do anything for us. Now, one year later, the mattress has gotten so bad that my husband now sees a chiropractor for his back pain.
I have again contacted Simmons and am waiting for a response from them. We can not afford to replace this $1500 mattress after only 3 years and are at our wits end with this company and their bogus "10 year warranty".
I just want to make other consumers aware that Simmons does not stand behind their products, for us, and continues to charge a whole lot of money for defective merchandise.
