EmpireDirect.co.uk - purchased dishwasher online - didn't deliver dishwasher when requested - no reply to e-mails and letters

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on November 27, 2002:

dear sir or madam

i recently purchased online a dishwasher on the 14/11/02 ,then i recived a call telling me it would be delivered on monday of the 18/11/02 ,i did explain to them that the delivery would have to be after 3.30 pm for access they said we will put on the delivery note, i then recived a message on my phone to tell they called at 12.15 pm ,and would have to make another time on ,

i explained that this was not convient ,i then tried to contact EMPIRE DIRECT .co.uk on several ocasions unsucsefull .with emails ,also letters still KNOW ANSWER ,they also have still not refunded my payment ,please could you advise me to what action i could take
