RE: Pegasus Satellite TV, Inc. - Pegasus satellite Direct TV - charged $ 292.16 for equipment charges for cancelled contract I've had two years of hell with Pegasus Direct TV.

Two years ago, I bought a satellite system from Pegasus as I was living in the country and TV reception was poor. About six months after purchasing it, I had to move back in town and I contacted Pegasus about arrangements for moving my service. I told them when and where I was moving.

They said not a problem, and I moved. After I got moved, they said they didn't provide service to my new area and had no arrangement with Direct TV in my new area to switch my contract to them. They wanted $250 to get out of my contract. We went around and around and they finally let me out of the contract, and I Fed Ex'd them their black box back. That was June, 2001. It is not late November, 2002 and for the last year and a half, they have been sending me an invoice every month saying they owe me three cents. At first, I sent it back, and told them to forget the three cents. The invoice kept coming every month. Then this month, they sent me my regular invoice saying that my account is negative three cents, plus another invoice for $125.00 for "equipment early term" plus another $150.00 for "equipment early term" plus $17.19 State Tax for a total of $292.16!!! What scares me most, is they have my credit card number. I called and got nowhere with "customer no service" who told me to fax the Fed Ex customer receipt to them.

Here we go again. Who regulates these guys? The FCC? I'm in TX, they are in MA - who do I file a complaint with, my state AG?
