Complaints.com received the following consumer message on November 22, 2002:

Disputing Providian's ANNUAL CHARGE for $59.00 for the period of October 2002 through October 2003, THEN THE CARD GETS CANCELLEd and sold to CompuCredit Corp., who in turn unleashes a heart attack interest rate of 29.99% !! PLEASE TAKE Into Consideration that I have not received any new statements from this new CARD SERVICE CENTER to date, NOR Notification that my card balance was sold to COMPUCREDIT for “collection purposes only”. COMPUCREDIT “claims to offer an EMERGE MasterCard” when in fact is ONLY a corporate collection service. Furthermore;

i have the same problem i have providian and them compucredit start sending me letters and harrasment calls i never remenber have cretid card with compucredit but i remnber have one with providian somebody have to stop this company. is fraudulet and i dont think they doing things rigth
