L 'Open Tours - vacation in Paris, France - bus didn't arrive on time - poor bus service experience

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on November 21, 2002:

RE: L 'Open Tours - vacation in Paris, France - bus didn't arrive on time - poor bus service experience We have just recently returned from a vacation in Paris, France.

While there we took a two day open bus tour of Paris with L 'Open Tours.

Their brochure says that there tour runs daily until 6:30 PM at this time of the year. They also tell you that you can get off the bus to see any item of interest along the way and rejoin the tour on a following bus. A bus comes by about every 20 min.

The first day we left a bus about 6 PM and waited for 45 min. and no other bus came. We ended up taking the Metro system back to the place we were staying.

The second day about 5 PM we were 2 stops from finishing the tour when the driver stopped and told us he was through for the day, and everyone would have to get off the bus. He told us another bus would be coming to pick us up in about 10 min. However, we waited about 20 min. in rain and high wind, and NO other bus ever came. We had to take a taxi back to the place we were staying.
