Bedroom Superstore, Fremont, CA - paid $ 1,732 in August, 2002 - still haven't received furniture - store is now "closed for inventory until furthure notice"

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on November 21, 2002:

I purchased furniture from the Bedroom Superstore in Fremont, Ca. August 23, 2002. I paid in full $1732 and was told the furniture would be delivered in 3 to 6 weeks. The end of September I called the store and was told I was scheduled for delivery October 4, 2002. That date came and went with no furniture. I tried to call them there was no answer. I tried repeatedly to call all their stores and their corporate office to no avail.

I drove to the store that I bought the furniture from and the store was closed with a sign in the door saying they were closed for inventory until further notice.

I contacted the Better Business Bureau and was told the only information they had was that the store had stated they were going to reopen at a future unspecified date under new management. Please please, can you help? Carol McKenna
