Archon Pest Control, Temecula, CA - told would spray with organic, safe any spray - really sprayed with known neurotoxin

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on November 21, 2002:

RE: Archon Pest Control, Temecula, CA - told would spray with organic, safe any spray - really sprayed with known neurotoxin I was approached by Archon Pest Control (located in Temecula Ca.) who was going door to door selling there services to spray for ants. They told me there products were biotanical/organic and safe enough enough to drink. I have a child with autism and he cannot detox on his own and I can only use organic safe products around him. Archon sprayed my home about 3 times and each time they left my son became irratable and would loose his speech for a week.

I did a search on line and discoverd the product they used is a know neurotoxin and can effect the central neurvous system (autism is a disorder that effects the nervous system). This company advertizes in the phone book that there product is safe and it is not. I complained to the company and the manager, Sterling Hirsch was very rude and told me the only way I can get out of the contract is to get a doctors note.

The next week, they sprayed my yard without my consent....I did not know they did it untill my door bell rang. Again, my son had a server reaction and I had to water down my lawn right away and take my son to my moms house so he would not inhale anymore fumes.

Right now, this company has me in collections and they harrass me daily. They said if I do not pay off the contract that they are going to sue me. I talked to an attorney and they said based on false advertidzing and child endangerment this company is way off. I also contacted the BBB and they have a long complaint list. Robin Dooley
