RE: Ford Motor Company Credit - ongoing billing problems
I contacted Ford Credit when I realized I did not receive my September bill. How I realized this was when I received my October bill. I do admit that I should of contacted Ford Credit sooner when I didn't get my bill though at the time I did not realize it until I received next month's bill.
I call Ford Credit right away and explain the situation and they had an attitude with me from the start. "You should of known that your bill was due at that time and called us or sent in your payment anyway." Now, I call if I am going to be late on a payment so this is the first time this happened to me. I finally received a form to extend my lease and tack on my September bill to the end of my lease.
I had this form faxed to me twice and I faxed it back twice since the first time they stated they never received it, and the second time they said it was altered and could not accept it, though they couldn't tell me how it was altered.....
In the meantime, I have been receiving harassing phone calls from Ford Credit about not receiving my payment. I told them do they not see the notes on my account from when I spoke to the previous representative? They stated they did not since the notes are only temporary and not there when they look at my account.
The next representative I told to look at the arrangements I made, said that there were no arrangements and she did not care what previous arrangements I made, she wanted the money the next day. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she hung up on me.
I had the above scenario happen to me about four or five times until I just stopped answering the phone when I saw it was Ford Credit calling. So at that point, they started calling my coworkers asking for me.
I finally called them back and had another form sent to me which I this time mailed to them. I received another phone call today after a week hearing nothing. I thought I finally got everything straightened out so did not expect to hear from them.
When I received the phone call today, they stated they did not receive my signed lease extension form and I told them it was in the mail and they should have it soon, if not already. They already have and cashed my $94.00 extension fee, though will keep calling me until they receive the extension form. In the meantime they keep charging me a late fee which previous representatives tell me is removed.
The representative I spoke with today told me that if I do not like receiving phone calls from Ford Credit, to pay my bill. I told her the history of why the September bill was late, though she said that comment to me. She continued to say that Ford Credit will call me everyday until they receive this form.
I asked for her supervisor and he said there was nothing he could do besides talk with her. I called my Ford Dealer that I work with and told him I did not want the car any longer and he asked why, told me he was on a long distance call on the other line and would call me back. He did not call me back.
I will never own another Ford. This is just a never ending nightmare.

They will call every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day if you're delinquent on your account, and they've done that to me in the past, but they were never mean. However, a friend of mine has a car financed through Ford Credit, and he had become 3 months behind. The first day after the first late bill was due, they started calling ME looking for my friend because I was put down as a reference when he bought the car. They continued to call even though I told them to take my name and number out of the system, and even that the number that they were calling was no longer my number, but belonged to my parents. Well, they continued to call my parents' house, and they then pursued to call my friend's boss and asked HIM if he could somehow force my friend to pay his bill. All the dealings that my friend had with Ford Credit at that time were awful. I was there for one of the calls he made to them to make payment arrangements. They adamantly refused to work with him on any level, even though he offered to send them 3/4 of what the entire amount was because he couldn't afford to pay the entire amount, risking not being able to pay rent, and they so rudely refused, I overheard the lady yelling at him on the line, telling him that SHE either wanted HER car or HER money right then and there or she'd have the repo guys come and take HER car away. Then, she proceeded to tell him that he was a deadbeat and that he shouldn't be so irresponsible with his money and that he needed to get a better job. I HATE FORD CREDIT, but in the actual vehicle's defense, I have always had nothing but good experiences with Ford cars, and will continue to drive them, however, I will secure a private financing institution next time to make sure that I never have to deal with Ford Credit again!
