I have a 1999 GMC Sonoma with 28500 miles. The front left brake caliper failed closed just enough that the brake pad continually rubbed against the rotor. Since the vehicle had anti-lock brakes apparently the right brake compensated.

There was no indication of this problem until the pads wore down to metal on metal. By the time I got the vehicle into a repair shop, both the caliper and rotors were worn excessively and had to be replaced. Is there other instances of this malfunction? Thanks
