Ref: My Sprint PCS service facility on Phone 510 205 7262 and 510 205 7263 I have been a loyal customer for years and my payments of dues have been very prompt always. On 11/14/2002, I received a call in the night (around 9:00 p.m. CST) and was told that the call was from Sprint PCS to collect an amount of $ 168.00, owed by me. I informed that I have only one statement due by November first week and the payment got delayed owing to my preoccupation in issues relating to my son’s travel to India and that the amount will be sent the next day.

 

However, the person who spoke to me was rude and was adamant that the payment of $ 168.00 be made over phone then and there, failing which my services will be disrupted. I requested that the details of the payment amount be sent by Fax for me to review and that I can make payment then. The request was denied and the person who called hung up on me. I was very disappointed at the behavior and called the customer service and spoke to your representative who gave her name as Jennifer. She did appreciate the fact that I have been a prompt customer (in payments) and also assured that the service will not be interrupted. She also mentioned that my complaint of the rude behavior by the previous caller (from Sprint PCS) will be sent to the concerned higher official who will be contacting me. However, to my dismay and disappointment, I found my services disrupted. In the circumstances, considering the unfair treatment meted out to me, I call upon Sprint PCS to compensate me for the tangible and intangible losses by sending me $ 500.00. I also notify that it will not be binding on me for any charges on this account with immediate effect if the service is not restored without further delay. Ram Ramamoorty
