I filed a complaint with the BBB of Oregon against First Consumers National Bank credit card. I got a "this is standard industry practice" to hold the availability of funds for 10 days even though they are electronic transfers. I got this reply from Mila Dyakov, Operations Advocate.
I went online to see what my balance was and to my surprise, there was a $35.00 late fee charged to my account. My due date is the 30th of the month. I pay my bill that is due at the end of the month, on the first of the month. I have been doing this for at least 8 months.
This is the first time that I have been charged a late fee. I am tired of giving my money away to this bank. I have complained to the BBB, the Federal Reserve and now to you, because I want to warn people of how much of a rip off this bank is.
I have again filed a complaint also with the BBB of Oregon against them for charging me. If anyone is going to file a class action suit against this bank, please contact me. I want in.
