Fact My Galaxy 1.9 tdi 2005 wiring and fuse box melted with an Alternator fault?. I had previously taken my car to a main Ford Approved dealer when the alternator warning light had come on, they reset the codes and sent me away saying the car was okay. It's very frightening when all your electrics go on a dark country road and nothing works. Have lost my confidence in the Galaxy safety as I have been told that it could happen again at anytime. I have found an independent garage that has rerouted the new wiring, keeping the alternator wire separate and fitted a new Ford fuse box which is heat resistant and new alternator.

I wonder how many other Ford Galaxy's have this alternator fault?.
