RE: Troy Built mower that is a real lemon I purchased a Troy Built riding garden tractor last summer for $2700.00. Within one month it was exchanged for a new one due to a defective transmission. After 20 more hours all of the pulleys froze up and it cost me $200.00 to repair.
A month later the transmission went bad on this new one and they said that they would fix it but I have now waited 2 months on parts from the factory. I purchased it at Lowe's but they are no help at all. The one manager I spoke to was an arrogant youngster that needs some training in how to talk to the people who pay his salary.
I took it to a local repair shop who says that MTD will be handling these in the future and that I should get rid of this one. (Easy to sell a 2700.00 unit right?) I think that both Troy Built and Lowes has not done what they needed to do to solve my problem. I am telling and plan to continue telling everyone to stay away from both Troy Built, MTD and Lowe's. The truth is no one cares anymore. Thanks Ron Donahue From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Saturday, 10-Nov-01 00:00:00 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
