Frigidaire Gallery Dryer is Junk Frigidaire From: Date: Friday, November 02, 2001 09:48 AM Sent To: www.frigidaire.com 11/2/01 9:48:01 AM Dear Frigidaire: a consumer posted the following e-message at Complaints.com. In November of 1996 we bought the Frigidaire Gallery Series washer/dryer.
Since then I've had to replace the gas solenoid valves and the motor in the dryer.
After complaining to the company I received a form letter offering me a 40% rebate on the purchase of a new dryer. In speaking with various repair people during all this I am told that Maytag is the best product for the money (I would have bought the Neptune but it wasn't available at the time. My mother has a Kenmore dryer that is 38 years old, and has only required a belt replacement during that time.
Frigidaire motto: Quality for generations.
