We recently adopted a pet from the HART Foundation at the Grapevine, TX Petsmart.

Based on my experience, upon adopting you sign a contract. In the contract you have to initial all kinds of paragraphs about saying HART is not responsible for lots of things.

My wife called a lady named Shelley at HART and told her our kitten needed to have a fecal test. She said they would pay for it due to the fact that he was already on medicine for an issue from the litter he was from. They advised her this was going to have to be done in our care. So we sent in a letter itemizing this and other charges. They refused to reimburse us and basically LECTURED us in their letter attaching a copy of the contract and highlighting where we initialed.

I don't think the HART Foundation lived up to their word, in this situation, of caring individuals and helping others adopt pets.
