RE: Sharp carousel 1200 watt microwave - repaired but not working again - caught fire when heating a cup of water
Less than two years ago we purchased a Sharp carousel 1200 watt microwave. After a few months it would sound like an arc welder for a second or two. As time went by it became worse and last month it caught fire when in use heating a cup of water.
We had it repaired and the repairman said it had been worked on previously. He installed a new mag; (repairmans lingo) and it lasted just two weeks before it started to arc and burn. Now it is a smelly-ugly thing in the back yard. Our last micro was a Montgomery-Ward and still in good working order after a trouble free twenty years. No they don't make 'em like they used to.
