RE: Alltell wireless - overbilled - poor service experiences
For the last year I subscribed to Alltell wireless for my cellular phone. I can tell you that I have had a cell phone for four years and have never, not once went over the plan minutes. In March I requested a copy of Februarys statement from Alltell with the phone numbers that were called during the month that I went over. My request was met with general politeness, but the requested document never arrived.
Upon receiving the notice of an overdue balance I called and spoke to a Melissa and again explained that I was awaiting a copy of the phone calls on the February bill. This time I received a confirmation number, but again no statement. I explained to Melissa that I had every intention of paying the bill if indeed all the calls were mine and I sent in a partial payment as a good faith payment. Instead of receiving the requested document I received harassing phone calls from Alltell each time I explained that I wanted a copy of the February bill each time they said they would send it, I never received it. I have received the notification that the overdue amount would affect my credit if not paid. I think it is ridiculous that Alltell cannot produce a copy of Februarys bill with the itemized phone calls on it. I believe every bill should have the phone calls made with that phone. I have never dealt with such poor customer service before. Of course, everyone was polite except the last person I spoke to, Tracy in financial services. She informed that the itemized bill was sent out and if I wanted another it would cost me $5.00 and that the phone calls would not stop until I had made payment.
I cannot believe I would be charged for something that I do not believe was ever mailed. I have mailed the payment because as a large company they have the power to affect my credit. I can assure you I will never buy or subscribe to anything that has to do with Alltell.
