Sprint PCS - unfairly denied rebate - can't get appropriate reply from Sprint PCS

I just wanted to post my complaint to hopefully spare some people from purchasingSprint PCS cell phone service. I'll keep the story short and to the point.In December 2001 my sister and I both purchased Sprint PCS phones and service.We both sent away for our rebates, doing everything that we were supposedto do. My sister received a rebate in her name, I never received mine. Icalled them and they told me that they never received my rebate request andto resubmit. So I resumbited a copy of my receipt and the form and all thatand the rebate offer had not expired at the time so that wasn't even an issue. So a little time goes by and I check my rebate status at SprintPCS.com. Tomy surprise, it says that my rebate request was denied because I had alreadyreceived my rebate! So after calling customer service three times, I findout that my sister's phone AND my phone are both under my name somehow. Sowhen they sent me sister her rebate, which was made out to her name, it somehowgot checked off that it was my phone. I know that sounds confusing and itis.
See her rebate came in HER name and she signed up for her phone in HERname and it had nothing to do with me (she signed up 2 weeks after me) butsomehow they had it in their computer that her cell phone number was undermy name. Go figure. So you would think that since I pointed out to them 500times what the mistake was, they would send me my rebate. Fat chance. Itis now May of 2003 and I never, ever received my rebate. I called them untilI was blue in the face, I was promised my rebate but never got it. I wroteto them, did everything humanly possible, no rebate. They never even respondedto my letter or anything. So, Sprint customer service is NON-EXISTENT. It's no surpise really but theydont' give a crap about their cusomters. I won't even get started on howthey screwed up my mother's cell phone account or what they put her and mybrother through when their defective phones were recalled and then they triedto charge them a fee to get new phones sent to them. It's just outrageous. STAY AWAY FROM SPRINT PCS!!! (Yes I have cancelled my service and so have my family members).
