RE: Tappan Range - purchased 3 months ago and rust is forming around the burners and under burner grates

I purchased a Tappan Range from Sears approximately 3 months ago. I work and mostly only use the stove on weekends. I have noticed the porcelain top getting rust around the burners and under the burner grates.

I'm very disappointed with this. I pulled the manual out and read every thing, only to find that all you can do is coat the grates with a little bit of cooking oil.

I don't understand how with all of our modern technology and the price we pay for small appliances, we get such crappie workmanship. WHY WOULD THEY EVEN SELL SOMETHING TO A CONSUMER AND NOT EVEN NOTIFY THEM OF THIS PROBLEM?????

Is there replacement grates that don't rust for this brand new sstove???
