RE: GymPros - paid $ 1,395 for Lifefitness 9500R not received - refund promised, but not received

On March 8, 2002 I purchased via telephone based on GymPros Website Advertisements a LifeFitness 9500R recumbant bike for $1395 to be delivered in 4 weeks. I called in 4 wks, the sales person would not return my calls. I called the customer service manager, Scott Olson. He said 2 weeks. In 2 weeks, he said 2 weeks. In 2 weeks Scott said they did not have any in stock but guaranteed by the end of the week. Again, another week. Then another week.

After many class and no return calls, I drove to the location and demanded my money back and or a bike immediately. Mr. Olson said he couldn't give me my money bake immediately but would place a refund order that following Monday. Again, after many calls and no return calls, I drove to the office where I spoke with the VP, . She promised me a refund within two weeks.

Two weeks later, no return calls my husband drove to their office and spoke with . She again promised a cash refund to be fedX in three days. One week later no return calls we went to their office again and they were gone (4 months since purchase) We filed at Smalls Claims Court in Orange County, California but the owner could not be located. We've filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, IFCC, Dept. of Consumers Affairs.
