I am writing in regards to a very unacceptable experience I had at the Pizza Hut restaurant located at 1710 West Tennessee Street, Tallahassee, Florida. I ordered a pizza at 12:10 AM on a Tuesday. I was told that it would take no longer than thirty-five to forty minutes.
From the time I placed my order, I waited one hour and ten minutes before calling to ask if there was a problem. When I called, the person who answered the phone was the same person that took my order. He too was confused as to why my order was not delivered. He told me that my order was dispatched five minutes prior to my call.
It should not have taken that long to be dispatched to begin with. There was no indication by the person on the phone that there was a longer wait than had been originally anticipated. I continued to wait for another thirty minutes for the delivery person before making a second call to the store. By this point I was in no mood for the pizza but I called because I was concerned for the driver.
The phone person was again distraught by why my order was still not delivered. I do not understand why I was not informed as to what problem arose that lead to me not getting my food. After waiting a few more minutes I called again to cancel my order but I was greeted with the message, "Thank you for calling Pizza Hut. Sorry we are closed."
This last call was two hours after my initial call to place my order. I am very disappointed with the service that I have received and I hope that this problem will be addressed so that employees will receive better training on how to deal with customers.
Needless to say, I did not get my pizza and never found out what the problem was. I sincerely hope that my problem will be taken seriously and that some action will be taken so that this type of problem does not happen to any other customer.
