RE: Kitchens Restoration Company - missed delivery dates - poor service

 

I ordered a kitchen about 2 months ago with 2 days of guaranteed delivery and fittings. I took 2 days unpaid leave for the first delivery date and they failed to show up. Their excuse was they had on their books delivery date for the week commencing the 20th May. It boggles my mind how a company expects someone to take 5 days off work to sit at home waiting for them to fit you into their diary. Plus I have written confirmation for the dates of delivery for the 20th and fitting on the 27th. Agreement was made for delivery and fitting for the 27th May. I again took the day off as unpaid leave, to welcome these people into my house - after spending all Sunday emptying my kitchen into my living room, bathroom and bedroom. I waited until 10.30am and decided to call to see what time it would be installed and they said that again they would not be delivering due to a construction error. The fact that they never called me and I had to contact them was totally unacceptable - plus I had now 2 days loss of earnings. even worse, was the fact they knew this was happening on the Saturday before. So no one called me or anything!!! We now have this coming Saturday in the diary for installation, but I am not holding my breath. I have also enquired about some kind of discount for the inconvenience of the time wasted and money lost. They initially mentioned waiving the
