RE: Vodafon shop on Henry St., Dublin, Ireland - experience with Nokia 3310 phone & phone service I am wondering whether I have any come back on a phone (Nokia 3310) pruchased for me as a gift at xmas time. Since then (Jan 14th) I have had numerous complaints with this type of phone (no reception, keys locking, phone failing to switch on, unable to dial or receive calls, calls being ended prematurely) The first time it failed to work was a result of no reception whatsoever.
This was sent away to be repaired as I was told I was no entitled to a refund or a new replacement as it was outside of a 7 day limit from date of purchase! Since then , Iv had up to 8 phones, and currently I am using a replacment phone till my last nokia is repaired.
I do not believe that they are giving me properly repaired phones and feel at this stage totally disgusted. I have been dealing with the vodafon shop on Henry St. Dublin. The first 2 times it was brought in, it had to be sent away. On the third time I apparently got a "repaired" phone from their stores as this is their policy, ie, I did not have to wait this time for it to be sent away and to be repaired.
One week later, I was in with yet another complaint. Every time since, i have been forced to take taxis from work practically once a week to exchange a phone that never does work from the minute I get it. it was so bad one day, that the minute I stepped outside the shop, the new "repaired" phone which i had jsut been given blacked out on me and would not let me switch it on even!
I am totally angered and disgusted at spending taxi money and good time and want nokia or whoever is responsible in this case to give me a new phone. Apprently though, according to their sales people I am not entitled to this.
So it looks set to continue that I need to continue visitng them until my 1yr contract runs out!!I feel this is totall unfiar but dont' know my rights. Trusting You to help
thanks Carleen Walsh Carleen.
