Complaints.com received the following consumer message on May 27, 2002:

To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter concerning Seamans Furniture. I had purchased 2 bedroom sets and was told I would get it on the date they scheduled me for delivery. I got the furniture on that day with scraches. I called them up and they told me that they would have someone come to my home and fix it. They did. A couple of weeks later, I saw that the furniture was starting to bubble and the top coat was just peeling off.
I then called Seamans and they told me that they would send me a new parts that needed to be fixed. The delivery date was scheduled. That day when the delivery men came they told me that they were not going to bring it up because it had nails poking through the top. They took it back and I was left with the furniture that was bubbled and peeling. I called them again and they said that they would send me a new one on their behalf. They scheduled another date.
When the men came that day the same thing happened with the furniture it was badly damaged. I called Seamans back and after fighing with them ( the main office) I was allowed to come to the store and purchase 2 new bedroom sets. I did and They told me that the truck broke down and the furniture was badly damaged.I still have the same 2 bedroom sets that are badly damaged. And I feel that Seamans dont care.
