Complaint: Washington Mutual bought my loan from Long Beach Mortgage, They opened 2 accounts when the loan was transfered instead of one. I sent my payment 3 days before the due date it cleared my bank on time. It has taken me 34 hours of my time and a late payment is still shown on my credit history.
I have been working with them for 1 year on this matter and it has not been resolved. No one at Washington Mutual can fax me any information of what they have done to clarify thier mistake. My next step will to be to hire an attorney. Desired Settlement: Other (requires explanation)
Settlement Explanation:
To this date I have spent 35 hrs of my business time trying to correct Washington's Mutual mistakes. I have lost time and money because of thier failure to get this off my credit history. It has been 1 year and I have all of my complaints documented in letter form.
I am in the process of trying to refinance my present mortgage and because of thier failure to correct thier mistake I am having to pay thousands of dollars more for my mortgage. I am asking for a settlement of $10,000 dollars.
