GATEWAY COMPUTER - application to lease computer denied - poor service # 27 for May 25, 2002
Complaints.com received the following consumer message on May 24, 2002:
From: Email User RE: GATEWAY COMPUTER - application to lease computer denied - poor service ON 5/23/02, I CALLED GATEWAY TO SEE ABOUT AN UPGRADE ON COMPUTER AND REL-LEASING . THEY GAVE ME THE PRICE COST PER MONTH WHICH IS BASICALLY WHAT I AM PAYING NOW AND ACCEPTED IT. THE ACCOUNT IS UNDER JUNIUS BOURQUE 409/729-2813 AND I INCORPORATED MYSELF A MONTH AGO AND I WANTED TO PUT IT UNDER IT J.M.B. CONSULTANTS, INC.. SO RILEY AND NICK ARE THE PERSONS I TALKED WITH.
IT SOUNDED LIKE THERE WAS NO PROBLEMS, I'VE BEEN LEASING THIS SOLO 2150 FOR 2 YRS. AND NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT. WELL ON 5/24/02, NICK CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT I WAS TURNED DOWN. I ASKED WHY AND HE SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW, SO HE GAVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL AND I DID.
THE LADY TOLD ME THAT THEY DIDN'T TURN ME DOWN AND DIDN'T LEASE COMPUTERS FOR GATEWAY ANYMORE. SO I CALLED NICK BACK AND TOLD HIM AND HE DIDN'T HAVE A CARE IN THE WORLD ABOUT IT. ALL I'VE EVER DONE IS BRAG ABOUT MY GATEWAY COMPUTER, THE SERVICE AND HOW THEY WERE AND THE LEASING PROGRAM YA'LL HAVE. I'VE A OF PEOPLE ASK ME FOR THE NUMBER AND THAT'S THE WAY THEY WANTED TO GO.
I COULD UNDERSTAND IF I WOULD HAVE MISSED A PAYMENT, BUT NEVER DID. NOW I WILL NOT BRAG OR TELL ANYONE ANY MORE ABOUT GATEWAY, BECAUSE THE SALES PERSON WAS RUDE AND DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO HELP. THE FIRST TIME I LEASED THIS COMPUTER IT WAS DONE WITHIN MINUTES. HE TOLD ME HE WOULD TURN IT IN AND AND HAVE RESULTS HOPEFULLY BY TUESDAY. I TOLD HIM TO FORGET ABOUT IT, I WAS GOING ELSE.
I ADMIT I WAS RUDE, BUT HE WASN'T ANY HELP AND IW AS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO RECIEVING MY NEW COMPUTER.
