RE: American Music Search (AMS) - paid $ 745.00 - received no auditions and no interviews - also no refund
I responded to an advertisement I heard on the radio for a music talent search. I was chosen as one out of hundreds of people who would get the chance to go to a weekend showcase where I was to interview/ audition with 35 major record label executives.
The interview/ audition fee was $745.00 plus all the time and money I had to spend getting pictures taken, making 35 demos, typing up and having prepared a packet with demo, photo and bio for each of the record labels, and paying for transportaion and the hotel room I was to stay in.
The day the interview/ auditions were to take place I was informed by one of the record label people that they did not have any cassette players and they were only instructed to bring cd players.
I having 35 demo cassettes was devastated. I was told to bring either cassette or cd demo. I tried to speak with someone in charge about this matter but I was repeatedly ignored and brushed aside. I did not recieve any of the services I was paying f! or. I received no auditions and no interviews.
I would like to be refunded my $745 dollars, I asked repeatedly for a refund and this company was very uninterested in correcting this situation. The campany is called AMS, American Music Search and they are a division of new york modeling contracts. I hope this issue will be resolved soon.
