My 1500 Chevy p/u Anti-Skid Brake light came on and the ASB motor runs even with key off. The truck was out of warrenty in Feb. 2002. The dealership found the ASB module had failed and required replacing. The cost of the module alone was $772.00 and labor $134.90.

I did get a 10% discount so the final cost was $886.08, including tax. This is a real ripoff as it is not as nearly as complicated as a home computer and you can get a new one for the same amount of money.

My concern is that GM is starting to suffer the same quality control problems they experienced a couple of decades ago. And we the consumer will have to pay a high cost for the lack of quality.
