RE: Goingplatinum.com - paid $ 25.00 for free, unlimited internet service - service was cut off early

To Whom It May Concern:

I am sending this e-mail to file a complaint against the company:Goingplatinum.com, 526 Rutledge Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601 & Alan Catalan (CEO)!

I paid $25.00 to them last May 31, 2001 for free unlimited internet service for the "life of the company". After using this service for four (4) months, I was literally "cut-off" from using this service! Their reason was "money problems". I have been without service for over five (5) months now!

The "Member's Agreement" stated that I, among others, would be "grandfathered" back into the system to use this service (plus other items) at "launch", but no later than January 31, 2002. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED! After contacting them to terminate my member and get my money back, Catalan e-mailed me on March 25, 2002 stating that it looks as if they will "launch" sometime in April.

I said OK, but, if not, On May 1, 2002 I will cancel my membership and wanted my refund. (Goingplatinum & Alan Catalan are just using "stall tactics" and nothing more)!

Well, April has come and gone! Catalan did "not" deliver! On May 1, 2002 I e-mailed them to terminate my membership and requested my refund by May 10, 2002.

Although the company e-mailed me yesterday and stated that my check will be mailed out on Monday May 13, 2002, I have "not" received my refund as requested. I cannot believe what they are saying now after all the lies they have already told me.

This company is fraudulent and needs to be investigated ane banned from the internet. I feel that a Class Action Suit "is" in order!!!

Very truly yours,

I truly understand how you feel.

You see, I was one of the first hundred or so who signed up for this program back in 1999.

At that time, each person you signed up fell under your tier. So I signed up each member of my family at $25.00 a pop.

It was due to "Launch" in April 2000.

I never got the ISP service or any of the money I paid to these people.

I was promised a full refund several times!

Then in November 2000 after several excuses as to why the program hadn't launched yet, I was removed from accessing my membership information and told that I would have to pay another $25.00 per person and upgrade to "premier member" in order to make any money or get the free ISP!

So this "SCAM" has been going on for a while.

I agree with you. A civil suit should be brought against this program and it's CEO!

But, I doubt it will ever happen!
