RE: Click Camera Photo Development - lost 10 slides - only offered $ 10.00 per slide in compensation

E-mail sent to Click Camera main headquarters, 3/13/2002 Some thirty days ago, I dropped off 10 slides from which color prints were to be made. After almost 2 weeks, my wife stopped in the Huber Heights store to pay for the prints and redeem the slides. She was told they were not there and that they would try to locate them. A week went by and I called and was told they had not located them as yet and asked for another week.

Tuesday, the 5th of February the Huber Heights store called and told me the slides had not been found. The person also told me it did not look good that the slides would ever be found. Those slides, taken 30 years ago, are irreplaceable. Some are of my first wife who has sense passed away.

I was attempting to have color prints made to give to my children to remember a vacation at Disney World with their mother in 1972. I'm sick about this loss. If Click Camera cannot produce those slides I believe a cash settlement is appropriate. Yet, how can any amount of money replace the memories my children have of their deceased mother? I hope we can reach an agreeable settlement or the return of my slides. Ronald F. Wilson Huber Heights, OH 45424 Mr. Robert Klaben President/CEO of Click Camera offered a nominal fee of $10.00 per slide. This amount cannot have much of a negative effect on a company the size of Click Camera. The "Oh, that's too bad." attitude toward a customer only means they will continue to offer such shabby service again and again. Perhaps a more sizable amount of $50.00 per slide would create a sense of responsibility for customer property.
