RE: SBC AMERITECH DSL - unable to contact DSL service - received disconnection notice
I have received a disconnection notice from ameritch regarding a bill for DSL services. I returned this DSL to Ameritech in November or 2001. I have made several calls to Ameritech, All I get is the run around. Ameritech gave me a number to call DSL whice is 1-877-222-3755, whenever I call this number, I get a busy signal.
Ameritech tells me that DSL has been charging me for the DSL services which I never did use, due to the fact that it was not available in my area at time of purchase and I have home Security Service, which made it impossible to install without disconnecting my security service. I can not afford to have my telephone service cutoff. Ameritech said DSL owes me a credit from December 2001 until present time.
I can not get through to DSL. Ameritech's representive said she will contact billing to put a hold on disconnection until I contact DSL, as I stated I can not contact DSL. In November I was told that Charges will be dropped, but as of present time I am still being billed.
Any consideration that you give to this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
