My family purchased a Sony PC along with a HP printer. We purchased an extended warranty on both the computer and the printer. Looking back now, I should have realized when the store salesperson neglected to give us warranty documentation it was going to result in a bad problem.
Well, the printer broke less than a year later. I took it in and it was replaced with what they said was a 'new' printer. It was not new, but I was pretty much told that was the only printer they could give me under the warranty. So, a few months later, the 'new' printer breaks after less than a year. I take it back again, and I was informed I could not get it replaced because the warranty was invalid because they had replaced the original printer.
Now, my complaint here is why did we never receive warranty documents? Then I was told that when the printer was replaced I was supposed to sign a document stating I understood the warranty was invalid now. They refused to replace the second time around, but the original printer broke after less than a year which meant HP should have been able to replace it, and my warranty should have been still valid.
Customer service was horrible, they made no effort in explaining any of this at the original store. So CompUSA, due to the ineptitude of the people working at your stores, I'm never going to buy from you again, and I'm going to encourage everyone to never buy from your company.
