Olive Garden, Fair Lakes, VA - description of dining experience

RE: Olive Garden, Fair Lakes, VA - description of dining experience

I went to the Olive Garden at Fair Lakes, VA with my boyfriend. First they said we would have to wait 45-50 minutes. We went shopping and came back within 40 minutes. We waited 60 minutes total and when my boyfriend asked where we were on the list, they claimed they already buzzed us and that they would seat us next. But then we saw two people get seated before we got seated.

I ordered water with lemon, and saw a hair on my lemon. I told the waitress and she was apologetic, but didn't say she'd bring me another water. So I asked for one, and she acted like she was of course going to bring me another water. Then while I was still finishing my meal, she asked if we wanted dessert. We said no, but she said it would be on the house because of the hair. So we thought about it, and when she came back we

ordered one piece of dessert and asked for a box for it.

Either I asked for a box for my dinner leftovers, or she asked at the same time if I wanted a box, and I said yes, and then she immediately asked "Or are you still eating?", and I said no. So she asked if she could take my plate, so I said yes, but I thought that was weird because I thought she'd bring a box instead of take my plate and box it.

So when she came back with the dessert I asked where my leftovers were, and she was sorry but thought I didn't want them. So I said that was okay, but on top of the hair incident, I was angry that I didn't get my leftovers, even though she could have tried to give me a small new portion. I specifically didn't eat as much as I could since I was planning on taking home the leftovers.

So between the wait which is always long, the hair, and the misunderstanding about the leftovers, I won't be going to Olive Garden anytime soon. To console myself, I figured the leftovers probably had hairs in it.
