RE: 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager - transmission failed at 31,979 miles - Chrysler won't help due to not fixing vehicle at authorized service center
06 March 2003,
My complaint involves my 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager. No warning at 31,979 miles when the transmission had a catastrophic failure. Chrysler would not do anything to help me because I didn't take the vehicle to an authorized service center.
I told them I didn't know how bad the problem was and I'll have the shop tow it over to the dealer, but since Protranz automotive looked at it theirs no assistance. I told them what difference does it make who fixes the problem with so little miles on the vehicle sorry sir no assistance.
I would like to know how many bad transmissions are out there? It cost me $2500.00 + to fix their problem which in the log run became mine. My warranty expired in September 2002 and as far as the power tran is the buyers responsibility what a crock!!!!
