RE: Cherry Mountain King Size Kincaid four-poster bed - bed creeks when move - only two cross bars to support the mattress in the bed frame We recently purchased the Cherry Mountain King Size Kincaid four-poster bed. We also purchased a new mattress and box springs. The bed creaks everytime your move. There are only two cross bars to support the mattress in the bed frame. This is insufficient for a bed this size.
There needs to be another cross bar in the center underneath the box spring. If you don't want a creeky bed, I'd recommend buying another brand with sufficent support in the running boards and metal frame supports.

I have had it for 5 years with no problems until recently when the plastic piece inside the support that is the threads for the screw legs have broken. You put the plastic piece back into the tube and i doesn't stay. I will me looking for new supports and I agree = 2 cross supports for a king size bed with 2 low profile box springs and an 18 inch pillow top mattress is not enough.
