Silkies / HCI Direct - billed for pantyhose not ordered

Complaints.com received the following on March 3, 2003:

RE: Silkies / HCI Direct - billed for pantyhose not ordered Silkies Pantihose and HCI Direct Marketing sent me some pantyhose which I NEVER ORDERED. Then they started sending me bills for them. I spent my own money to return the pantyhose along with a note stating I had

never ordered them, and asked them to please cancel the bill. End of story, or so I thought. Well today in the mail I received a letter from a Credit Beaureau stating I was too behind on my payment for said pantyhose!!! What is very interesting about these companies is that neither Silkies/HCI direct, nor this so-called credit beaureau provide any contact information on their correspondence. No website address, no telephone number, nothing. Only a postal address - so there is no way to discuss the situation with a live peson and get it ironed out. I looked it up online and found this site with many other complaints similar to mine. These people are running a scam and should be stopped!!! Luckily I also found the Silkies website with their phone number on it. I spoke with a woman named CAROL who said "Oh I see the pantyhose were returned. Please disregard the bill" If this is truly the end of this ridiculousness, I will be surprised. kristilee helmick
