RE: Pappas Drive-In & Family Restaurant, New Smyrna Beach, FL - rude service experience
My Complaint is regarding Pappas Drive-In & Family Restaurant 1103 North Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 (386) 427-0633
My husband, child & little dachshund had been to the park and stopped there to eat. A young girl (about 16) came to the car to take our order. After ordering, I asked if we could order just a very small or kiddie sized vanilla soft serve for the dog.
Ten minutes later, I could hear this burly cook in his late forties yelling at the young girl all the way in my car. (it's a convertible). He was yelling at her for my order of the few tablespoons of softserve. Of course, I felt horrible. It's not like I was trying to get out of paying full price. Price didnt come up. (By the way, it would only have been $1.26 anyway).
So I went over and apologized to the man and asked him not to yell at her. The owner was standing there and I hoped he had seen. I told him that I didn't mean to get her in trouble and that it looked terrible for that cook to yell at her. Then the owner (a dark haired burly guy) started yelling at ME.
He said "We're busy here. We don't have time to play games." I said "He doesn't have a right to treat her like that". He said it's my business. I do what I want.
What a big man!
