Prime TV - finally received rebate check Complaints.com received the following update on April 1, 2003:

I have just read a few of your complaints about Prime TV...guess I am not alone in my frustration! We had Direct TV installed on 10/30/02. I filled out the paperwork and mailed it in for my rebate. I figured I would wait until Jan. to check on the rebate. I called early Jan. and the CS rep. said that it was approved and the rebate was going out on 1/21/03.
I then called 2/11/03 and "Kim" at ext. 1505 said she would put a RUSH on the request to the Accounting Dept. I called on 3/7 and left a voice mail asking where my check was (I left them all the info they needed to research the rebate) and they left a voice mail back saying that they recieved my voice mail. Stellar customer service.
3/10: Spoke with a "Deena" and supervisor named Jeff Hess, they said it would be sent on 3/11. Called on 3/24 and spoke with a Rick Jacobs at ext 1525 and he said it would be here within 10 business days. I asked for a supervisor and he said he was one.
Sure... I have also called Direct TV twice to complain about their distributor Prime TV #1681733 and both times they said they would send it to the "escalation" dept. for review and resolution. Like they care. I emailed Direct TV 3/26 with my complaint and and I told them that I would not pay my next invoice if I didn't receive my rebate.
Since I pay MY bills early or on time, I did not have my Direct TV account number, but I included my home phone and address. "Jacob" emailed back and said he needed my account number and name on the account with my address in order research this.
So, I gave him everything but the account number (I sent in my payment last week) with a recap of my experience with Prime TV and his company. I have also emailed the NC state Atty General's office and the local BBB for Southern Pines,NC. Hopefully I will get my $99.00 back as promised by this company. Right now I am speaking with a representative about my bill. They keep increasing my bill and giving me different reason. if you are thinking to get service with them, make sure you get everything straight before you sign an agreement because they will have a lot of surprises after.
