A while back I had a problem in that someone got a hold of my e-mail name and password. They used it to send an advertisement to others on the Internet. AOL caught up with this and cut off my service.
When I complained they provided instructions for changing my password and taking action to prevent future occurrences. I was already a subscriber to McAfee Virus Scan and McAfee Firewall, however the instructions involved getting a trial copy of Virus Scan.
I did this and when the trial period expired my regular subscriptions were deleted from my computer. Actually the Firewall is still working and I continue to receive update notices for both Firewall and Virus Scan, however when I try to update nothing happens.
Also, I have lost contact with my McAfee Security Center. Before this all happened my last access to the Security Center showed that my subscriptions were paid up until sometime in 2004. I have written several complaints to McAfee and they have been ignored. If you can help me, please do.
