I have a complaint against Sony! I purchased a Sony monitor March 9th of 2002 and started having a problem with it three months later. I called the company to troubleshoot and there seemed to be nothing wrong with it (they said) they thought it was my computer.
Well the problem seemed to stop. The problem was my monitor just kept shuting off.Anyhow 8 months later the same problem again called sony and was told it was probably the computer but if it wasn't the would go back to my first complaint three months after i purchased the monitor because now it was out of warrenty by two weeks. Dell came out for my pc and discovered it WAS the monitor !
I called Sony back and now they won't cover it they said i had 8 good mths of usuage! They won't go back to when i first had problem that obviouslyt wasn't fixed or it wouldn't have happenned again!
So to wrap this up i guess their monitors are only built to last for maybe one year but the price of them is triple as the others so you would think your getting top of the line! also the service to customers stinks!!!!
When you call for help with their defective products they charge YOU $2 dollars per minute on the phone!!!!!
I will NEVER buy another Sony product EVER!!!!!!!
