RE: Credit Report.com - charged $ 29.95 for 3 credit reports - only wanted one report for $ 13 - didn't read fine print was reply from Credit Report.com - credit card co. has temporarily refunded $ 16.95 pending investigation I have a complaint against a credit reporting agency. Back about 2 weeks ago, my daughter requested one (1) of Experian credit report for $13. Because I used my credit card and they could not verify her report with my card, she was unable to receive her credit report online. They quickly notified me of this and said it would be sent to her within 7-10 business days at no additional charge.

 

The next morning I checked my credit card and found out they had charged me $29.95 for 3 reports. I have been emailing them 3-4 times a day telling them we did not order 3 and even sent them everything I had printed off the computer. Their excuse was "if I had read the fine print" if a credit report cannot be sent online, then a $29.95 fee would be charged automatically for 3 reports.

 

My credit card company has temporarily refunded me $16.95 pending investigation. I have talked to them directly and they were not the least bit cooperative. This company is a sister company to the actual credit reporting agencies, therefore Experian cannot help me directly.

 

This is the Credit Report.com at 800-730-4499. I ordered the report at 2:35 pm EST and they told me that I could have cancelled the order no later than 11:00 the same day PST, which was impossible because it was 11:30 PST when I ordered it, but I did cancel it at 4:30 am the next morning PST or 7:30 EST. and they never completed the order until afternoon approx. 5 hours after my email cancellation.
