2scandinavia.com / Hotels-Stockholm.com - quoted and booked rate of EUR 88 but charged EUR 190 - request rejected for refund of difference

Complaints.com received the following on March 26, 2003:

I booked two hotel rooms in Helsinki through Internet Travel Agency, STOCKHOLM HOTELS (www.2scandinavia.com). They offered us two twin rooms with the rate of EUR88 per room. Then, I booked the room and received the confirmation mail (attached below). However, when we checked out the hotel, we found that the rate was EUR190, not EUR88. I complained the manager of the travel agency (Mr Jan Bertelsen) and he answered, "It was the typing error clearly was a mistake that you were aware of."

(quoted from his mail). I asked them to refund the difference (EUR102X2). However, he insisted that they were not responsible for the mistake and rejected the refund.
