RE: MCI - charged 3 to 6 dollars per minute for calls to Dominican Republic - thought was paying 19 cents per minute
Mci called me to soliciate their new neighborhood plan and an international plan of 19 cents per minute. I accepted the neighborhood plan and said that although I don't know anyone abroad, I would accept any reasonable plan. 34 calls were made from my home to the Dominican Republic and Mci rated the calls 3-6 dollars per minute. What happened to my 19 cents per minute plan, well how funny that no one from the company can determine that. They say that the plan never existed for my phone number.
At first, I thought that the calls were fraudulent because when you hear that your bill is $3,667.00 you go nuts. I in any case, called Mci so the calls could be rerated and they said it is impossible to do that.
I am outraged and will continue to send this a-mail to any and all parties that can rerate my calls. I feel that Mci as well as other long distance companies abuse customers. I will not be their victim. I will continue to tell all my friends about this matter until it is resolved.
Sincerely,
NANCY MARTINEZ
